Running the entire length of fascia in Phantom is a feature that is truly unique. It’s called The Gallery – conceived to house bespoke artistic creations. An uninterrupted glass enclosure to protect and present artwork within your motor car. An unprecedented space in which to curate and to commission fine and contemporary art. A gallery that exhibits and reflects the tastes, desires and personalities of our patrons.
A star bursts from a centrally placed single brilliant cut diamond, encased in platinum. Seeming to float above their resplendent backdrop, solid silver spears carry pear-cut amethysts. Astrum, a concept produced by Alex Innes of Rolls-Royce Bespoke Design and Richard Fox of Fox Silver, is a true object d’art, brought centre stage in The Gallery.

In this Bespoke artwork, Swiss materials specialist Nature Squared conceived of working with a bold, progressive aesthetic. Over 3,000 iridescent tail feathers were individually shaped to accentuate their sheen and rich hue. Then hand-sewn onto an open pore fabric in a design that originates from the heart of The Gallery: the clock.

On first glance, Whispered Muse reveals a serene landscape emerging from a delicate organic form. Then a subtle draped female form appears: the wing of the elusive Spirit of Ecstasy. Shrouded in mystery, her form is only hinted at through the delicate silhouette of the line of her neck that emerges from the edge of The Gallery.
“As a textile designer I identify straight away with the Spirit of Ecstasy.”
The starting point for London East End artists Based Upon was to imagine the Spirit of Ecstasy’s shawl flowing over the car at speed as a single moment in time. To create the artwork, a swath of silk was pulled through a tank of water and captured on camera, before being shaped in clay, then machined from solid aluminium for The Gallery.

One individual rose, bred exclusively for Rolls-Royce in the English countryside, was flown to the Nymphenburg Palace in Southern Germany. There it was examined from bud to lush flower by master artisans from world-renowned porcelain manufacturer Nymphenburg. Then recreated by hand in the finest porcelain for the elegant sanctuary of The Gallery.

The atmospheric countryside of England, with its fertile soil and autumnal layers of colours, has been captured by internationally acclaimed Chinese artist Liang Yanwei. In her Bespoke work Autumn Palette for The Gallery, the paint appears almost sculpted, carving floral and geometric patterns, masterfully capturing silk and satin textures.
“Liang Yanwei visited the home of Rolls-Royce here in Goodwood in autumn and was particularly taken with the colour and the textural impression of the surrounding West Sussex countryside.”
Digital Soul is an artistic interpretation of its Patron's DNA. The process of creation starts by digitally capturing the patron's character, which is transcribed onto stainless steel using 3D printing and then plated in 24-carat gold. The work interacts with the changing light of day; each observer’s experience will be a personal one dictated by their physical position in Phantom.
