When alfresco dining meets Rolls-Royce luxury, the result is an occasion to be savoured. In creating the Rolls-Royce Picnic Hamper, the Design team sought inspiration from the golden age of picnicking – marrying beautiful design with engineering excellence to create a product worthy of the motor car into which it fits so perfectly.
FINE DINING
A Feast for the Eyes
Taking over 500 hours to create, the hamper is forged from a combination of saddle leather, oiled teak and polished aluminium. After opening the set and folding out the piano black tables, you are presented with a treasure trove of artisan crockery, cutlery and glassware.
The crystal wine glasses and decanters are hand-made by the Ajka Crystal factory in Hungary, famed for its traditional techniques. Founded by the Huta tribe over 200 years ago, many of its glass-blowing methods remain unchanged: to make the delicate, fluted shape of the wine glasses, clear and coloured lead crystal is ground by hand before being blown by mouth.
The stainless steel cutlery is hand-made in England. The 12-piece set is produced to the highest standards, by expert craftspeople using traditional polishing and grinding techniques – a tribute to British steel heritage.
Wedgwood porcelain plates add a final flourish to the hamper. Founded in 1759, England’s renowned fine china factory has preserved the ancient skills of throwing, modelling and decorating to create objects of unparalleled quality and beauty. Its creations have graced the tables of royal families, heads of state and celebrities all over the world.
Designed to include everything you need for the perfect picnic for four people.
